Edwisor — How it’s changed and how it’s improved
Founded in 2015 on a principle of providing the necessary skills to candidates so that the perpetual gap between skills and employment should be closed and that hiring managers should be able to select from a pool of skilled candidates to supplement workers.
A second component of that incentive was to provide for candidates a worthy and valuable career path in a number of subjects that would ensure that the candidates are on a path that is much valued by the industry and will always catch the eye of any hiring managers.
Ramandeep Arora, the founder envisioned this from his own experiences seeing the lack of skilled candidates and many candidates going on career paths that would not lead them to any satisfactory outcomes.
How Edwisor Came Through
Coming up with a solution to both these problems, he sought to create a data-based model on student pedagogy and learning by introducing the niche that is Data Science and Analytics along with courses on Web Development. Both paths which are highly sought after and valued both by companies and students.
From that time Edwisor has seen a lot of successes in its five year rise. From getting a few dozen interviews in its starting months to now having succeeded in providing over 12000+ Hours of Live classes and over 10000+ interviews for its candidates.
Challenges Faced
But success comes with its share of challenges — from choosing the best mentors to making sure all the students and candidates are satisfied with the offerings; not an easy task in itself. There will always be criticism directed at efforts and naysayers who might not see the bigger picture but still would cast a negative light on their subject.
What amounts to getting ahead of that negativity is to address it when it arises and based on the legitimacy of the negativity, to take steps to ensure that processes are changed and errors are minimized so that any mishaps can be prevented and, in time, gotten rid of altogether.
How Edwisor Changed
Better Engagement
Edwisor has, time and again, sought to reinvent the ways in which it interacts with its candidates and solves the problems they might be having. From starting out with a sporadic acknowledgement of the problems to be solved, to now engaging regularly with candidates to ensure any issues are solved promptly and to the best of their abilities.
Live Classes and Interactions
With comments decrying the “recorded classes” and “outdated courses” Edwisor decided to ensure that all pedagogy is delivered live and that interactions with mentors and candidates are made much more frequently and conducted with better understanding.
Evolving Pedagogy
They have adopted a data based approach to understanding the needs of their students and providing the best solutions to them to ensure an excellent learning environment. Curriculums are highly organized and tailored to the current industry standards. Hiring is prioritized with an all-round approach to a candidate’s skill levels, including soft skills and an emphasis on increasing confidence and communication skills.
Greater Variety
An increase in the courses taught has brought in a much larger pool of candidates desiring skill development by industry veterans. In this way, Edwisor has reshaped its own communication and processes to better benefit its students and pave the way for excellence in the impact a good educational environment provides.
